Change config.ini

Hello,

When I try to change the config.ini, windows is really a bitch about it because it's all on read-only, probably because I put it in "\program files (x86)". I try to set it on not-read-only but I tend to fail at that. So instead of editing the .ini, I copy it to my desktop, delete the original, edit the copy and paste it back to the ace-of-spades folder.

Anyone, I have it changed now, but the game appearently never looks into that ini file. I changed my resolution from 800x600 to my native 1366x768, but i still have the black sidebars. Also putting it on windowed mode doesn't change anything. As if that ini isnt even used by the program.

Can anyone help me set the game resultion so that it's my native resolution?

Well, the highest resolution you can play on for now is 1280x800. When the game hits 1.0, and the OpenGL client is released, you'll be able to play on much higher resolutions. I have 1366x768 as well, but I'm sticking with 800x600 because I prefer it like that.

Thanks for your information. I guess it means you never encountered the problem where changing the .ini file had no effect on the actual game settings?

No, I haven't had that problem before, but you should be able to play on 1280x800, it will change to that from 1366x768 automatically.

I think the game never even looks at my config.ini

If I delete the file, the game still runs.

It creates a new one if the old one has been deleted, I think.
