Today i noticed that in my friends signature it said he was rank 40 in leaderboards ...how do u check your rank?

You have to sign up with a specific command, it's not automatic.
Type /sitelogin <forumname> <forumpassword> in one of the aloha.pk servers and both your kills and deaths will be registered.

Make sure you only attempt to use it on certified servers, anything you type using a / command goes to the server logs, and a malicious server owner could look at said logs and get your AoS forums password.
