Change the resoultion lower and close all process which you dont need running. Finally close all programs

I use 800x600 in Windowed mode. Also do not go lower than 512x512. Doing so will cause crashes when you open the map, or at least it does for me. Also it can just be lag in the servers that causes the FPS drops. Also I wouldn't have a crap ton of programs open when you play.

Uh no, servers cause network latency not framerate drops.

in C:\Ace of Spades (or wherever you've installed it).

Open config to edit it by double clicking, and it should be something like this for 800x600

Good that you fixed it. Other than resolution changing the only way to improve fps in AoS is, I would guess, turning off background programs etc.

It was suggested that getting a better internet fixes fps. Just a heads up if someone looks for help from this thread - fps has nothing to do with your internet/the server you're playing on
