Poor FPS.

Hello! It's been that long my account's been deleted, but thankfully nobody stole my name. I'm an old timer here, began playing in.. pfft, Beta 0.2 when all you had was the original map, an uncustomisable rifle and a black sillhouete of a Gewher 43 for your irons. :')

On my grandads (no grandmothers rig jokes here) computer, I can't seem to run AoS. Everytime I turn, Bad FPS. Even just staying still results in bad fps.. It's hardly my gaming rig like I have at home, but it's not the worst.


AMD Phenom 9500 Quad @ CBA pulling up the clock speed.
2GB DDR2 RAM
Radeon X1250 @ Stock

I can't seem to find any correct drivers for the X1250 with it being legacy, and the computer running vista. AoS would be a time killer when I've nothing to do, can anyone lend a hand?

Hmm... Seems your Phenom isn't up to it. Could be your RAM as well, you will benefit from the OpenGL update a lot thou (your GPU will do the work instead of your CPU and it can do it a lot faster).

This is AoS though, I can run this on a 2005 Laptop with minimal issues, with 2GB DDR2 @ 600~MHz and a discrete GPU and an even worse processor, so I don't feel it's hardware related. I'll look for an OpenGL update, that's one thing I've not tried.


Admittedly, the Processor won't touch my i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz at home, but it's not the worst thing ever to be in a PC, and I feel it's at least AoS worthy.

Try running it on windowed in 800x600 resolution.

It used to run on my grandma's rig, then the shotgun was introduced :S
