How to host a map on a server

Postby XFrostByteX » Fri Aug 03, 2012 2:23 am

This is a very noob like question

How do I get my server to host a map. All it is giving is a pre gen map. Which command do I use to have it host the map I want?

you're probably using the vanilla server. in that case the only map you will have is gen.vxl. you will have to download a map and place it in the vxl folder which is located usually in C:/Ace of Spades/vxl. afterwards, once you get to the command line, instead of typing gen type in the exact name of the map name which you have placed in your vxl folder.

if i'm mistaken and you're using pyspades, add a map into your maps folder and optionally a .txt file if it comes with one. afterwards, go to your config.txt file and add another map to the maps line.
