Issues Using An Audio Amplifier

Postby Innorbeni » Sun May 20, 2012 5:34 am

I'm sorry should I be in the wrong thread. I'm in search of some tips concerning how to set up a pair of wireless speakers? The challenge is related to the wireless speaker system transmitter which I am utilizing for my surround speakers. The transmitter won't ever get into standby when my AV receiver is turned off since my receiver will always give off a humming sound. That consequently results in my wireless amplifiers to remain active all the time and emit a slight hum via my rear speakers. This sound isn't present when my audio receiver is working, i.e. active. I'm not really technically savvy and thus would hope that someone from this forum has some ideas. My own, personal ideas were to power down the transmitter by some means while the AV receiver is off, maybe purchase a switch for each or possibly have something cut the music connection to the transmitter once the surround receiver is off.
