[REQ]Map Builder

Postby Ultrasonic » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:21 pm

Is there any way of having something to make make mods that is easier than using the Voxed?
Thanks

Well technically, you can make the whole map in Slab6 and then just insert it in the Voxed. It will definitely be a lot easier, and I don't think a lot of people wishes to make a whole new editor just to make it a bit easier than the one that already exists.

They all are good, just read the topic and pick what you like ( + I would recommend to have a look at the "JoJoeStinky's Blender Solution", if you are familiar with 'Blender')

Lolz, dude. And as I said before - you can use slab6 to make the map, and also (read above), you can use the Blender, which is free and relatively easy to use, comparing to the 3D Max Studio.

No, when you get used to it. Btw all the buildings, trees, 'n' other complicated structures are made in slab6, and then inserted into the map (well, there are some editors, who prefer to build everything in-game, but I think THAT really takes too long. And just so you know, modding is not a five-minute thing. You have to make a model really cool, if you want others to like it. Five minutes will definitely not be enough. Especially when you're making a map. A map is at least a day's work. As an example, it took me half a day to make This.
