You Wont have to be skilled at a weapon to act.

Valor, just a tip, when your making the plot start from the end and work your way back
Eg. Blue team blowes up green base (how? Why?) they used a green they captured to show they way in and used c4. (how?why?) they caught him during a battle. They want to avenge their leaders death. And so on.
Some writers use this method to ensure the perfect ending
