Pokemon (gameboy) Which of them are better?

I think that first three generations of Pokemon games are the best. Especially the red version. What do all you guys think?

I liked gold/silver/crystal, I felt the 150 originals weren't enough.

But now there's like over 600, the original 150 were the best.

Bull shit, some of the original 151 were retarded, and there are most definitively some gems in the later games. Anyways, 3rd gen is probably my favorite, but im looking forward to the remake with the mechanics of blk and wht (probably mechanics of the sequals)

All the new ones are retarded. I saw one that looked like a shandelier.

Because a pokeball that evolved into an upside down pokeball was the pinnacle of creativity and the epitome of pokemon.

Like I was going to say but didnt for whatever reason, some of the new ones are pretty bad, but thats nothing new. Every generation has its incredibly large share of decent pokemon, its piles of turds, and those "this shit defines this generation" pokemon like charizard. I actually like Chandelure though.

Oh hay heads up, 3rd gen was on the GBA

Third Generation, Groudon is probably one of my favourite Legendary Pokemon.

I prefer the third generation. Black and White were pretty fun, but FireRed and LeafGreen are the best along with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. HeartGold and SoulSilver were great but Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum weren't all that great.

I agree. HeartGold and SoulSilver over Diamond/Pearl/Platinum for me.

First gen all the way. Simple ideas for pokemon piggy, geodude but now I can even pronounce any of the new ones. 2nd gen games was ok. 3+4 were pretty good. 5th haven't played yet coz I lost me ds but I dont think ill like it coz some of the pokemon are retarded.

Here a question. Thats every ones favorite pokemon? Mines scizor

Care to say why?

1) Broken gameplay mechanics as far as the eye can see, not to mention the laughable amount of glitches.
2)fixed some of the things, like psychic not completely screwing everything over. But the sheer amount of grinding because of the incredibly low level pokemon is frustrating.
3)Has the most memorable towns and music, also added abilities and natures, so the gameplay changed in a good way. PLUS FREAKING SECRET BASES. Only gripe is the sheer amount of surfing.
4) Physical/special split (Massive boon for many pokemon, gave gyradose a physical stab which helped it a lot). Other than that was mediocre with somewhat forgettable cities.
5)Dream world abilities helped a lot of pokemon out, for example, Nidoking gained a godly ability in sheer force. Changed the exp system so it wasnt retarded and it encouraged actually having multiple pokemon. Plus the arbitrary HMs were no longer required outside of cut for one area, so the lack of a need of an HM slave is always nice. Probably the funnest region to play through from a gameplay perspective.
