Gen. III the winner for me, fahkin' drugs I grew on... Other than Vietnamese Gold which made me stuck at Blackthorn gym and made me spend my master ball on a Dratini..
Gen. III had best music with all the fahkin' bass man. Fahkin'. Bass. And I cry whenever I think about the whole storyline, literally because of nostalgia overload.

Yeah 3rd generation was my favorite. But then again I haven't played any of the generations after that haha.

probably 3, I have not played the 5th one very much though. I also think the 3rd one has the best art in it, the art in the 4th and 5th is pretty poorly made. the map and stuff also has a great feel to it, the diving stuff is also really cool.

I am probably going to replay Emerald again pretty soon, I just beat it with a bug only thing and caught Rayquaza, Groudon and Kyogre. maybe Sapphire too, but my battery on that one died so time-based events do not work, though I am not sure if those are too important.

If were talking about just putting the game into the system, pressing new game, and stopping when we exhausted all story line elements then yeah, 3rd gen. 5th gen is fun for battling, but nothing with match the nostalgia, wonderful and creative towns, fantastic music, and most important to me....The secret bases. They tried remaking that experiance with the underground in gen 4, but they missed several key components, one is they should be in the over world, and two, you should be able to visit the bases of friends youve connected to and battle them in a gym esque environment. Ill be pissed if they screw up the secret bases in the 3rd gen remakes.
