Biggest let downs?

Postby MrMeow » Thu Aug 02, 2012 5:13 am

Simple, Name a video game that was a let down or parts of it that were.

Mine would have to be Deus Ex.
You mean I can't stay with UNATCO!?

Also one in FNV was that you have to buy a DLC to get sights on the laser pistol (Rifle?), Why should I have to pay for something that should've been there in the beginning? It made me avoid Energy all together.

Fallout 3, Not enough guns or customization options. You do more damage Unarmed. Food isn't worth it's weight IMO. I also wanted to be in the Enclave, BoS in that region was stupid.

These are off the top of my mind.

(Almost)Any video game based off of a movie. Transformers: Decepticons and Transformers: Autobots were exceptions, but in the Xbox version, which my brother wasted 9.99 on, there were paperweight objects and entities, mediocre animations, cartoony cutscenes, and the worst possible voicecast EVER.

I'm the kind of guy that would prefer text over bad voice action.
I also thought that Skyrim was hyped too much, I played it at a frans house and thought only a diehard nerd/geek could sit through it. Too much RPG.

Which Deus Ex i may ask? The old one or the new one - Human Revolution? It was a prequel, BTW, so no UNATCO here.

Biggest letdown you ask?

Grand Chase NA Heroes.
Devs totally forgot about the veterans. They started focusing on the cashers to much.

Fallout 3 and Skyrim were both pretty disappointing to me, Fallout 3 has a terrible combat system, and barely runs on the xbox 360, but it is actually somewhat interesting. Skyrim is not interesting at all for me, but it runs a bit better and the combat is also a bit better. I probably will not buy the next game that Bethesda makes, they are usually filled with bugs and aren't really worth the time to play

Well, after all the hype, Battlefield 3's campaign was a load of shit. The story wasn't great, but not bad, but the gameplay was poor. Character's words didn't even synch with their mouths. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a CoD lover. I personally think CoD is pretty poor quality too, but Battlefield was absolute shit. Bad Company Two was far better IMHO.

Duke Nukem: Forever
Postal 3
Diablo 3

When it comes out, you can be sure to add half life 3 to the list.

Battlefield 3's campaign.
FO3's storyline. The combat system is really meh, I just play the game when I'm bored and want to goof around killing shit.
Skyrim wasn't THAT bad IMO, but I agree that the combat system was poor and the storyline was somewhat...uninteresting. I catch myself playing the sidequests 90% of the time I'm playing, because the main quests are just boring.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

Expectations are way too high and it's been so long nothing will justify the time spent.

Trust me, I'd rather have a sucky game that adds/concludes the HL2/Half-Life story than no game at all. You'd have to be a Half-Life fanatic to understand.

I wouldn't be suprised if there is no HL3. Since we all know that Valve can't count to 3.
