The applicant must be part of the clan for a minimum of two months, and must hold the rank of Thugz-4-Hire at the time of the application for a minimum of two weeks.
Once said applicant has posted his application, it will be up to the leaders to make the final decision. However, any and all the clans members may have their say in the matter. But! We are not here to discuss a person's pros and cons in public. Therefore, any clan members who have concerns about the promotion, be it for or against the notion, may pm any one of the clan leaders. Any member who ignores this rule and airs the applicant's dirty linen in public will be will be ignored, and their post will be deleted.
Once one week has passed, and the pm's (If any) have been read through and discussed, we will notify the applicant that they have been accepted for the rank on a trial basis, the duration of which will be a minimum of two weeks, though it is subject to lengthening of up to two months.
If any complaints are heard from anyone about this character, and sufficient proof has been submitted, the applicant's misdemeanour will be addressed, with the punishment reflecting the severity of the action. Punishments include demotion and, in severe cases, expulsion from the clan.
Ok, so you see that I've removed the idea of voting. This is because we want to keep a person's privacy, unless, of course, the severity of their crimes warrants the Name and Shame punishment. I also don't want voting because anyone can vote. Anyone, including people outside the clan. And, if we in some way managed to make a poll of some kind that only RS members could vote in, there would be the problems of jealousy and ignorance. Jealousy is self-explanatory, but what I mean by ignorance is that supposing a person who had just been accepted into the clan and/or does not now the person voted, either for or against, it would not be a fair vote. And if someone wanted to ruin the person's chances of acceptance, they could just bluff, and we would find it hard to know any better.
Its still democratic, but in a safer way, not to mention less embarrassing for the people concerned.
I also don't want voting because anyone can vote.
People, Post on the forums....How, Would they fake being a RS member. Without hacking into another account which in most states/countries is punishable by like 5 years in prison.
Embarrasement is needed. To avoid jealusy based votes. They would have to state why they voted against. Which would obviously either be a fake reason which the leaders would investigate and find fraudulent. Or, They wont vote at all. Ignorance isnt a issue. If they don't vote. That doesn't change anything. If they vote against they have to provide a reason. If they vote for a person. Its their right to do so. The person being voted. Its sorta like with a election. Its up to them, To make sure everyone knows they are better, What they have done that's great, That a vote does exist & That they should vote.
This is because we want to keep a person's privacy,
Ther person being the one who is being voted. Well, He is stepping on a podium. He wants the attention. He isnt hiding in the shadows. If he is declined and kicked. A reason has to be shown. Its simple. Also, If they have made it so far & Have to be kicked. Its probably in severity of requiring rotten tomato throwing.
They could bluff with what? Say they have bomb they´d blow up. They need solid evidence. If there is none. The leaders would find out.
I DEMAND a democratic vote.
