Forum customisation - localised

Just wondering,

Is it possible with phpbb to give our accounts options to change the forum background colours etc. Local only to us of course, and when you log in it'l remember your settings and change appearance accordingly. Don't get me wrong, the current one looks nice, but it isn't exactly to my personnel tastes,

And your not going to change it to suit my taste, SO why not a personalisation?

You cant change the background image, but you can the colours of all the boxes, and the text. And change the colour of the background digital camo, or even turn off digital camo and have a plain coloured background.

Yes, phpbb can allow you to change to different color configurations or themes locally. An admin has to allow users to do this and then provide them with themes they can use, which can then be selected for use in the User Control Panel. Goon Haven did this even before we switched to the XenForo software.

Id love to be able to make my theme greyscale'd. With pure black and white in it.

I like the idea of being able to customize how the forum looks to myself. I can't speak for the rest of the members of the forums, but I can't see why they wouldn't want this. If they didn't want it, they could just leave it at default and it would never affect them.
