I totally feel like going on a rant about this, but i dont want to get banned. After all, im pretty sure that it against the rules not to accept the rules.

Feel free to write in the 'Rules Discussion' topic in the Rules category, just be constructive.

I think it's important to mention that the administrative team is doing edits on your posts (something started by global moderator SLoW), so that's why you may have seen more warnings going around.

Before, it used to be just a personal message with board warning or deletion of an "unexcellent post.

Thats a fair point. Do moderators still send PM's as well, or is it just on the spot denouncing?

We send warnings, which act like a more important PM in many ways.

The new rules and new "feelings" the admins have towards them is kinda getting on my nerves, SLoW just hands warning out like candy now, i got one for warning a player of him insulting me (cuz thats against the rules too now) and that people are getting banned for insulting, but theres entire threads for insults. The new rules need a reform, take away the parenting aspect, and apply a forum age limit that keeps people under 13 away from the forums or something. IM SICK OF GETTING WARNINGS FOR STUPID (blocked because of new rule)! THIS HAS TO STOP! The Fun Police and admins all need to calm down, the foums were working fine, and these new rules have only made it worse. BRING BACK THE OLD RULES! NO MORE PARENTING!

Im not raging on it anymore, i've said what is necessary.

iamninja28 can you please provide the specific rules you feel are in need of reform and include a possible alternatives to those rules.

I do believe that the rules have become a bit more restraining. But not by much. I've seen people who don't normally get warnings get warnings... Anyways I think the forum team is just doing its best to make the forums better.

Ninja, if you're going to fight the man you need to do it in a clear, concise and calm manner. ;P

Besides, Most Admins/Moderators would've locked this on sight.
If they were being parents they would have locked it and left a post that you couldn't reply to in order to defend yourself.

But theyre such good parents!

But yeah, the new rules arent exactly restrictive, they should be common sense. I mean, no posting porn, no spam, no flaming, really thats obvious shit.

ReubenMcHawk wrote:Honestly I don't think that "necroing" a post should be against the rules if you have something relevant to say, past "bump".

Although I will bring this up because I agree with it 100%. If someone has something serious to contribute they shouldnt be in trouble for it.
