This is what I saw today in the "official" section. I already know that there is a flagging option, but the thread creator should be able to lock their thread, kick trollers off their thread and delete posts specifically in their thread. What do you guys think?

IKR!!!!????!?!??
Dude, I've been trying to get everyone to kick these adbots off of the forums. But if you see their posts, there's a little report to admin alert on the top right of the post (symbolized by an !). Hope this helped.

I know that. I've been flagging these ads everywhere. But if we thread creators had a little more power, they could delete these posts and no one would remember their existence.

For fluttershy's arguement: Wouldn't thee be a surprising loss of other threads? After all, a single person can only delete so many posts until only his/her show up.
Plus, only people in the AOS talk section would truly abuse it. Released maps, mods, and forum games really don't have this type of problem.
For direct proof of need for this addition, we have someone adbotting us right now.

only people in the AOS talk section would truly abuse it.

So it is still abusable?

If you want a quick response, the best hope you have is to report t to a mod in the IRC chat.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.

It could be heavily abused, I can say that I'd certainly be against it.
All the mods and admins spend a fair amount of time removing the spambots. For us, it's easiest when they've had a post reported since they all show up in one place.

I agree as well. You just can't let the public have that kind of power. People should be grateful for being able to edit their own posts (which by the way is also abusable), I've been to sites where you can't even do that...

How about locking our own topics(the entire thread)? How would that be abusable?

Also, if this idea would be invoked, then there would be votekicks for the forumer(like in the game).

If you need a topic locked, just ask a moderator. I don't see why you would want to lock your own thread(s).

I don't get it...

Forums are supposed to be free.

If someone's starting a flamewar in your thread (or anybody's thread), just report it.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
