Dude, the avatar option on this forum is 100's of times better. Just go to your user settings and upload one.

^Well said this new forum feature is far better than gravatar and is easily accessible compared to gravatar because you have to go to another website in order to get an avatar.

Having the option wouldnt hurt, i like gravitar because it automatically scales down or up whatever youre doing to get the max avatar size. and besides, its not like youre changing avatars so much that a quick trip to gravitar.com is going to become like an hourly thing.

I support this idea.
because first - you (often) auto have a avatar assoc. with the account, that's save time.
Second, avatar sync from gravatars.com would be easy too.
