Idea: A bit more user input around here?

I know this has been a long-fought front, but still. Now that we actually have the technology to do so, maybe the administration could think to set up some polls from now on, to ask the community itself about some of the ways things around here are run. Not like voting for bans or promotions or anything, but simple things. Like the clan colors being disabled. I know a lot of people around here really enjoyed those, and maybe it could at least be put up to a vote to see how many people really enjoyed having them, compared to those who disliked/were indifferent/etc... Just a suggestion.

Anyways yeah I agree with this, it worked out for the last weapons poll sorta.

I meant the on-site polling option for threads, and multi-accounting is another problem in itself.

The method of doing so is the real question though. Forums aren't really the whole voice of a player base. Perhaps using a 3rd party voting site?

No, not for game things. I mean for things relating to the forum, like with the clan name colors. They could have put up a poll asking people's opinions on it, and perhaps put in the OP why they thought they should be done away with.

Like when Ben posted the poll "what weapon should we add next", etc. That was really cool, it's fun to see devs talk to the playerbase.

Sounds good, because it's a lot slower for people to make multiple forum accounts to spam votes than it is to just cycle through IP addresses as with a normal online poll.

In my opinion,

I think the mderators could make a poll thread for us to vote on, and they would take our opinion into vast consideration, but sometimes the dev's/admins do know what will/wont work.

As many are older/more experienced, or have delt with such situations before.

I seem to recall a similer system existed on dead frontier a year ago, not quit sure what happened with it though.

Anyhow, i look forward to seeing what the modship thinks of this.
