And of course you can click "board index," but having that nice big banner take us back there would be a whole lot more convenient. I think people will want to go back to the board index a lot more often than they'll want to go to ace-spades.com from the forums.

That's the way bcoolface wanted it. It's close but not exact to the main site, which has the banner linking to the homepage.
The Board Index thing is pretty obvious now, so precision of clicking shouldn't be an issue.
Heck, if you can't get that much precision with your mouse on the forums, can't help to think what you'd be like ingame ;)
