Recent posts?

Well, excuse me if this has been suggested already, but to promote more traffic, I think that a "recent posts" function and a way to show which topic the user has posted in would be nice. in this example:



The link of the thread the user has posted in is shown in the forum sections, along with a side bar which shows recent threads users have posted in.

EDIT: Also ordering the threads in a forum in most recent to old like the old forums

Unread posts (sorted by time, most recent first) : search.php?search_id=unreadposts

You can of course use a custom search to display most recent posts in forms you like, for example I use
search.php?search_id=unreadposts&fid%5B%5D=11&fid%5B%5D=2&fid%5B%5D=10&fid%5B%5D=63&fid%5B%5D=65&fid%5B%5D=26
Which shows unread posts in news,rules,forum suggestions,aos talk, suggestions and the LDR clan form.


If you want to know for just one user you can click on their name to go to their profile, eg memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=75
then click on Search User's Posts which will show their most recent posts
search.php?author_id=75&sr=posts

There is currently no method to search for threads started by a specific user, to my knowledge.

You can search for all the topics by a single author using the forum Search tool by leaving keywords empty, entering the username into the "Search for Author" field and ticking "Search within Topic titles only" and "display results as Topics"

It's still a bit complicated process, and it would be kind of nice to have that as a single-click action. I'll see what can be done about it.
